Back to School

My first week back to school hasn’t been the best week. The first few days were boring and the next couple days I already had to take two tests. Whenever I wake up for school I  feel like I’m about to doze off in the classroom. The hardest part about it is probably athletics. I don’t play football so I’m in off-season basketball.  We have to run a mile in 100 degree weather under a time limit so you have to run as hard as you can. Then we do bleachers. Your legs are already dieing before you start  doing bleachers but then you have to do 24 of them with barely any rest, but our coach moves it up by 4 after every time after we do bleachers. So today we will do 28 and it keeps going up until we get to doing 40 a day. On every other day we lift weights. Lifting weights is much easier than running in this case. I’m starting to adjust to doing school work regularly again but I’m not use to having so much homework this early in the school year.

Digital Life

1. Most of the statistics were much higher than I thought they would be. Just about every percentage was higher than what I do.

2. A time machine. Because you can look back on your life.

3. A downside is stalkers. An upside is you can stay close to friends and family that live far away.

4. You need to be careful about what you put online because now colleges check to see whats on there. If you have inappropriate things then that could be why you don’t get into the college you want to go to. It’s also the same for applying for jobs. If you have good things you have a better chance at getting the job than having bad things on there.

5. Things you put on the internet are permanent. If you put a bad picture up then delete it, it could still be found.

6. Cyber bullying is wrong to do. You can ruin someones life emotionally if you give someone a hard enough time.

7. When cyber bullying you aren’t face to face. When you aren’t, people tend to say things, they never would say to your face. Cyber bullying is for people that are scared to do what they do in person.

The History of Basketball

The History of Basketball

James Naismith was the man who invented the game of basketball. Naismith made the game up for kids in YMCA so they could play an indoor game during the winter. The first game ever played was in Springfield, Massachusetts on January, 20, 1892. There was a total of eighteen players with nine on each team. Both teams combined for only 1 point as the final score was 1-0. The first goals were wooden peach baskets and there wasn’t a hole for the ball to go through, so whenever a team scored they had to get on a ladder and take the ball out of the baskets. They didn’t have basketballs yet so they dribbled with and shot with a soccer ball. One of the students originally named basketball “Naismithball.” The same student after that remarked “basketball,” the game we know as today. The game spread quickly toward Canada and throughout the States. Since then basketball has came a long way and has came out with a variety of leagues and players in multiple countries. Basketball is now one of the most popular and played sports in the world today.

Dog Gone

My dogs name was Levi,

He could really jump high.

He was a yorkie,

He was kind of corky.

He loved to run,

He was lots of fun.

We always played with a ball,

But he’d always run into the wall.

I loved to have him around,

His hair was short and brown.

One day he was gone,

And I never wanted the day to go on.

I haven’t seen him since then,

And I’ll probably never see him again.

I’ll always remember him,

And I’ll never forget about him.

I Need Taste!

I was eating a hamburger and it had barbecue sauce, cheese, Texas toast, bacon, and of course hamburger. When ever I took a bite out of that hamburger barbecue sauce would get all over my face. That didn’t stop me though. I kept eating until it was all gone. It was one of the hamburgers I have ever had. This is why taste is my favorite sense.

When ever you go to your grandmas for Thanks giving day you can smell all the food and it smells delicious, but what’s even better than smell? Taste. When you take your first bite of turkey you’ll think you’re in heaven. When you taste the apple pie your like WOW! This is amazing. There are a lot of other good foods out there and I can’t wait to try them.

If I could not taste anything I would probably go crazy. I wouldn’t be able to taste Chick-fil-a’s French fries! I could eat the best chocolate in the world and would not be able to taste it. One of the only good things about not be being able to taste anything would be that I could eat the nastiest thing in the world and not taste a thing. If I could not taste my life would be devastated.

We Need to Stop Them!

I looked over at one of my friends and he was getting bullied, and the bad thing is that no one did a thing about. Everyone just stared and watched him get slung to the ground. We all checked if he was ok after the fight was over. I never felt so bad for someone else in my life. This is how I got inspired to stop bullies.

One way to stop a bully is you can stand up to him and he might be too embarrassed to ever bully people again. You could also stop it by telling a teacher. Either way as long as you stop it from happening again it was a good thing that you stopped it.

If you ever see someone else getting bullied don’t just stare at them. Do something about it. Go tell a teacher immediately that someone is getting bullied and the bully should get in trouble. If he does then the bullying is over, but if he doesn’t then keep trying to stop him.

We all need to try to stop bullies so we can all have good lives during our school years. After all school is where you will be for a good part of your life.

Washington Times-This is WAR!

Breaking news: The Pearl Harbor has just been bombed by Japan! Almost everyone in the Pearl Harbor died in this terrible event. Everyone is almost positive that Franklin D. Roosevelt will send all of the U.S. troops into war with Germany and Japan.

We are now involved in WWII, trying to stop the devastation of the Nazi’s. So far they have taken over numerous countries and their not going to stop until someone does.

The U.S. Military and other countries are starting to back up the Nazi’s. We still have a far ways until we stop them completely, but we are getting closer and closer.

We have finally got the Nazi’s back to Germany’s capital in Berlin. The Nazi’s are now helpless, and they have nowhere to go.

We have just been informed that Adolf Hitler has committed suicide. Finally we don’t have to worry about Germany anymore. Everyone will remember this day forever. Almost everyone in the world is full of excitement.

But the war wasn’t over yet. We still had to defeat Japan. Since we didn’t have to worry about Germany anymore all of our attention was on Japan. We tried to convince them to give up, but they wouldn’t. So we told them that we would do something no man has ever seen. They still declined the offer so a few days later we dropped an A bomb on Hiroshima, Japan. The nuclear bomb destroyed everything with in its path. They still didn’t give up so another few days later we dropped another A bomb. This time on Nagasaki, Japan. After that they finally gave up. WWII was finally over. The world was full joy! This day will always be remembered as one of the greatest wars in history.
